Comparing Synastries with Composite Charts - 16/01/2024

 

Good morning, afternoon or night, beautiful people. Relationships Astrology is an area that studies the social dynamics between two persons (or sometimes, even more). It allows the reader to know the energies that play in the duo (conscious and unconscious behaviours), as well as to redirect these for the better. Among its tools we have different cosmic charts like Synastry, which is the comparison of two celestial maps per se, to see the way they interact, and the Composite Chart, that is the fusion of two birth charts.

The one mentioned first is the most known and used, and personally, I would consider it more basic for being fundamental and flexible. Although, people draw upon the second one pretty often, and we can see realities that in the other one we can not. Both are fascinating, but, what do they have in common?, what differentiates them?, which facts do they clarify?.

Their main similarity is that they are readings that need first two charts to be created and analyzed. Also, like I commented, they are used mostly for social purposes, of course.

Their differences are more riveting, since the Synastry is not only used for the group theme (despite that it is probably, the most important technique of this astrological area), but it is also utilized for predictions (for example: when you compare birth charts with events, the present moment, or other types of celestial maps). With this in mind, did you know that you can do Synastry with a Composite Chart?, for example, you can see how the radix of both integrants interact with it.

Another important factor, which is pretty evident and divides them, is the fact that in the most famous technique, since it is a chart comparison, the points contact with the ones from the other, giving us a vision of how the energies act separately. In the case of two people, it reflects how each of them feels about their partner, and how they interact individually. If we are talking about a human being and an event, the Synastry signalizes how this someone’s energies interrelate with that moment.

Meanwhile, in the Composite Chart, when both maps come together as one, what we see is the way the duo works like they were one (that is, how their vibes play while they are together), therefore, it says more about the two persons’ dynamic and relationship per se, than themselves. The most common method to create these maps is defining the midpoints of all that conforms both radix.

Honestly, I think that the Composite is more direct for explaining your bond with someone, and sometimes, I like better to read it than the Synastry. However, the last one is still essential and quite important to see the compatibility and the interaction between two people. The truth is that the two readings give a greater depth and perspective when analyzing a relationship, hence, it is always good to see both.
